World Youth Alliance | International HIV/AIDS Day 2014
Established in 1993, the International HIV/AIDS Alliance (IHAA) is a global partnership of nationally-based organizations working to support community action on AIDS in developing countries. These partners help local groups and other organizations take action on AIDS, and they are supported by technical expertise, policy work and fundraising carried out across IHAA. The International Alliance for the Prevention of AIDS (IAPA) was founded in 2004 by Arizona college students Eric Hamm and Sanjay Sinha who were inspired by community focused health initiatives to combat the spread of HIV. In the summer of 2005, IAPA was a federally registered non-profit organization in the United States under section 501 (c) (3) of the federal tax code. Frontline AIDS (formerly known as the International HIV/AIDS Alliance ( IHAA) until 2019) is a global partnership of nationally based governmental and non-governmental organizations which support community organizations which promote HIV/AIDS issues in developing countries. The Alliance was created in November 1993 as the International Alliance Supporting Community Action on AIDS, and later renamed the International HIV/AIDS Alliance. International HIV/AIDS Alliance The Alliance exists for one reason - to end AIDS through community action, an ambitious but realistic vision. We are building knowledge, mobilising people, inspiring leadership and allowing all voices to play significant roles in the response to HIV.
